So, I definitely have my Calculus final tomorrow... yikes! I went to a Hannukuh party last night at Katie's aunt's house. There were like 30 of her relatives there... it was so fun! Her family is SO Jewish. It's really funny. Haha, so we were playing White Elephant, and I was number 4 out of 32, and Katie was number 31. It was taking forever because we had to watch everyone open their gifts, etc. and Katie finally was like, "Ugh, i f**king HATE Jewish people! They never shut up!" I was laughing really hard. Oh, and I had my first Latkas... they were amazing. Mmm!

Meagan and I ran the track at school today after our exams. I was very proud of us! And it was actually quite fun. Then again, everything with that freak is fun!

Haha I thought this was pretty jocular. Like my SAT word?

I know this is really short, but I should go study. It's the responsible thing to do.

Long time, no blog! Seriously, I'm truly sorry for not blogging in so long. Please forgive me.

Gosh, I'm so out of the cycle that I'm having writer's block and don't know what to say.

Well, our finals start tomorrow. I have Anatomy and Government... they shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully. Oh, and I finally got all of my college app stuff done today. Yay!

So today I hung around in Dox's room after school diu (that means "for a long time", for all you non-latin speakers) with Meagan and Davie, while Gato was tutoring Loustopher. I feel bad because we were really destracting their tutoring session...




And then we took pictures for David and Meagan's wedding announcement. The date's coming up soon so that they'll be married before David gives birth.

I'm so tired, and I can't wait to be done with finals. And I just spit my gum into an old Anatomy test scantron... I hope I didn't need that. So apparently Nick and I were put on the newspaper's list of Top 10 Most Fascinating people. I'M SO EXCITED! What an honor. Hey, I should've put that on my college apps. I mean, it's an award/honor, right? haha. I really don't have anything else to say. Oh, I have some bad news: I don't think Meagan's mom likes me anymore. Très triste.

Well, I'm gonna go, I guess. This is such a little blog, but oh well. Maybe my life will more exciting next entry...

OMG. This boy, Ben, will not stop bugging me. Every day it's, "update your blog or I will murder your family!" Okay, he doesn't really threaten homocide, but still...

So he's forcing me to write one when I really don't have much to say. But I'll try my best to entertain you!

Yesterday the choir traveled downtown to sing at the Bank of America building. I love doing that... Christmas songs are so exciting, and it's neat to see people rushing out of the elevators and stopping to listen to us. But the bad thing was that we (the girls) had to wear these wreaths with holly and bows, etc. around our head. I didn't call it a wreath... I called it a crown of thorns. It was kind of painful and messed up my hair. I felt like Jesus! Except he suffered more than I did...

After we sang, we went to this little shopping center and had lunch. A few other girls and I ate at Ninfa's, which was delish but made me feel sick the rest of the day. Haha and when the waitress came by to refill our chips, Emily Brown was like, "Mucho gusto!" which means, "nice to meet you!" when she meant to say "muchas gracias". I was laughing really hard because it was like, "Here are some more chips." "Nice to meet you!"

Meagan scored a goal in her soccer game last night!

Wanna hear a funny musical rehearsal story? Tonight we were practicing "76 Trombones" in which there are a lot of different group dances. So the boys were doing their dancing part, which includes a lot of outstreching arm movements. Are you ready for what happened? Lou, yes Lou [see the culprit below]...

pretty much punched Mrs. Doxtater in the boob! So all you ladies out there, beware of this young man. Guard yourselves. Oh, Loustopher. What are we going to do with you?

I've had some requests to update my blog. Actually only one request, but who's counting? On Sunday, we threw Greta a little surprise 18th birthday party at a Mexican restaurant downtown. It was so fun! And she was really surprised, which is always good. Here are some pics...

The birthday girl looked absolutely gorge!

After dinner, we wandered around the sketchy streets of downtown Houston, looking for a Starbucks. We were accosted by several homeless people, but luckily we had the manly Ryan Torregrossa to protect us. When we finally found a Starbucks, we realized that it was closed! Fermé! So we drove to one out by where the playoff game was. It was all good.

Now I'm reading my new It Girl. It's pretty good. I wish Easy Walsh went to our school. "Who's Easy Walsh?" you ask? You wouldn't understand. Lost Highway by Jeff Buckley just started playing in iTunes. If you haven't heard it, you should. It's pretty wonderful. I love Jeff Buckley! A couple of years ago when I became obsessed with Hallelujah, I looked Jeff up in our Rock Book of Fame or whatever. I was like, "I really wanna see him live!" But I learned that he died in a freak drowning accident in the Mississippi in 1997... I was shocked and horrified. How sad is that?! Okay, enough. Brett and Tinsley are calling my name...

So, I'm really jet-lagged, but I'm due in for a new entry. I got back from England today, where I spent the past 6 days. And let me tell you... those were 6 days of fun in the sun! jk. There was barely any sun, and it was pitch-black by 4:30ish every day. But I did have fun! I stayed with my friend Alison [see below]...

Que bonita! We had a few good laughs about NickBJAirey and about how Judi always gives us a full itinerary of what she plans on doing within the next five minutes. har har. Oh... my first night there, Alison, Luisa, Alex and I went out to dinner and then to the Monkey's Forehead. So, we walk into the pub and see a bunch of twenty-somethings dressed in togas. Weirded out, we rushed through them all, straight to the bathroom, where we met a nice drunk girl who informed us that this was, in fact, a toga 21st birthday party for her friend, Lindsay. And it was private. Though we were utterly embarrassed, we ended up staying (being the only people dressed in normal clothes) and meeting Lindsay, herself. We met some guys and told them that "we go to Exeter... our mums went to uni with Lindsay's mum." So then the guys were like, "Oh, Exeter! Do you know so-and-so?" and we were like, "umm, no." "Well, do you know so-and-so?" "I'm afraid not..." "Do you even have any friends there?" haha. So, yeah. It was quite a fun night!

Basically, the rest of my visit consisted of trips to London (where we met up with the HCHS group!) and going to school. And watching re-runs of That 70s Show and Scrubs while Alison did her mountains of IB homework. 'Twas very fun!

Hmm, what else do I have to say? Oh, I have less than 100 pages left in Scar Tissue! I'm so obsessed... it's amazing. So Meagan and Ben-- you guys are gonna have to start fighting over who gets to read it next. Well, I guess that's about it. OH! I now am the proud owner of Caroline's Tahoe! Très exciting! And we also now have her precious cat, Dani, named after Anthony Kiedis' legendary girl. Haha I have a funny story about Caroline. So, she was going through security at the airport in preparation for her flight to Berlin on Wednesday (Wednesday? Maybe Tuesday...), when she attracted the attention of some officers. Apparently she had forgotten to take the "avacado-peeling knife" out of her backpack and sent it through the x-ray. Oh, Carmen. Care- feel free to comment on this and correct anything about the story that I got wrong.

Woman #1! Wanna hear my line? Well, too bad. Ha! Okay, I'll tell you. "And we haven't even seen them uniforms yet!" hahaha.

So, Meagan slept over last night. While we were taking a break from Requiem for a Dream, I had a burst of energy (which is extremely uncommon for me) and was like, "Hey, jump up in the air, and I'll take a picture!" And that was basically the theme for the next hour [see photos]. It was really funny! We probably took about 75 pictures... single shots of each of us, and then ones of us together, for which Meagan used the timer on the camera. What a genius! Haha, our facial expressions in all of them really make me laugh. Who knew Meagan could jump so high?! And why is it that she looks so graceful in her pictures, yet I look like I'm in a velcro body suit being thrown against a velcro wall?

You have to admit, these pictures are pretty funny. Oh, but wait. There's more! Today was Job Shadowing day, and Meagan and I shadowed our youth director at MDPC. We persuaded him to join in on the jumping fun...

Okay, I must work on my Anatomy project and Calculus now.

I've decided to dedicate an entire blog to this picture. This little one right here is Meagan Weaver. She was born on a hot Juneteenth afternoon with a smile on her face. She can be pretty weird sometimes. Just the other day in Anatomy, she asked me a really awkward question, which I'd rather not repeat on the world wide web. (She knows what I'm talking about, though) She said she meant to say, "Are you ready?" but that is NOT what came out. But her golden locks told me to forgive her quickly, so I did. Yes, her hair talks.

This wonderful picture was taken at Le Glace a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if I spelled that right because I don't speak French. There, we enjoyed a girls-only lunch that consisted of calzones and milkshakes. Who would've thought that the lil French bakery on Gessner produces the best calzones? Anyway, it was probably the best lunch of the year.

But enough about her. So, it's 11:22pm and I woke up about an hour ago from a little thing I like to call the "Bronchitis nap." Actually, I've never called it that... that just came into my head. I went to bed at 5pm because I was really tired and my chest hurts when I breathe (tired + painful chest = Bronchitis nap). I think I have Bronchitis. It's like that Melissa Etheridge song! "I'm alright, I'm alright/it only hurts when I breathe." Haha yes... I like her music.

So, congratulations to Abigail Sierra Palmer for publishing her cookbook! Her release party was today. It was so precious! I'm really proud of that girl. She's growing up so fast! I would post some pictures, but they'll have to wait. The Bronchitis nap kept me from loading them on my computer, and I'm too tired to do it now.

Okay, I should go back to bed, or else I will have no excuse for not doing my Calculus homework... yikes! Everyone should download "I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair" by Sandy Thom. So remember that time we BEAT SECOND BAPTIST?! I'm not gonna lie... last night was really fun. I like how the game got called due to lightning, and we waited around for like an hour for it to start back up. And in that hour, it rained really hard, which was depressing. There were about 5 minutes where a few of us were just staring into the rain without saying anything. For some reason, I found it appropriate to say, "I just don't see any reason to live." That sure broke the silence. Then Matt came over and reminded us of Neo from The Matrix, so we took some pics...

So, I don't really understand why finally, after about 21 years, we were able to beat SBS. It's probably because they had about 12 fans there and 5 band members, while most of Houston Christian was there. It's all about the support, people. Ben, Jacob, Phil and Eddie painted their heads... they smelled really bad (it was a mixture of paint and boys).

It was just such a fun night! I got a lot of funny pictures. I think my favorites are the one of Thomas and Meagan portraying how they feel about eachother and the one of Abbie showing how she was feeling at the moment...

I watched Requiem for a Dream when I got home... simply amazing. I'm obsessed with it and Jared Leto. And now mother is making me work on college apps all day... sick. But it's okay because Meagan and I are going to have a girls night tonight! Hurrah!

Okay. This is my first entry, and let me just say... I am ecstatic. Sort of. I'm a little nervous. Anyway, today was a fun day. We had a Senior Birthday Lunch! With chicken gumbo and cake. Meagan and I spent our time studying for Anatomy and making up cool sayings for everything, whilst taking fun pics...

Yes, this was one of them. We were trying to make it look like we were in love. After lunch I went to English. Mrs. Creekmore gave us a reading day to catch up on Crime and Punishment. Abbie, Greta, and I put blankets and pillows on the floor, where I read about 5 pages of the book and then went to bed. After English, Megs and I took the Anatomy test and then had fun with the camera and Lydia...

And then tonight I substituted for Ann-Marie as a piano teacher!!! It was so fun! Hopefully I can get a job at the Texas Guitar Company. I really like the people there. They're the kind of guys who are really chill, have loooong hair, and only care about playing the guitar. I want some friends like that.

Okay, I'm out. I need some feedback on this because I need to know... do people really care about what happened in my day? Or do they just want pictures? Or funny stories? Or what?! I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!
