Friday night, father and I went to Perry's Steakhouse for dinner, which was lovely. We talked about life, my future, etc, and how he grew up a poor black child. I think he was trying to teach me the value of a dollar...
Yesterday, I tutored Loustopher for a while... completing the square is awesome. And I brought him into the Nuni trap. If you haven't seen any Nuni skits on SNL, you are missing out. I showed him last week's, which Rainn Wilson hosted, and it is the funniest thing I've ever seen. I've watched it like 8 times now, and I laugh out loud just thinking about it. I guess it's hard to explain on a blog.
Later, Meagan came over, and we went to the store to buy some essentials for the nighttime get-together. Like always, we cut it pretty close, and got home only about 10 minutes before the first guest arrived. And so our breakfast for dinner party began. We made pancakes, waffles, Egg VicMuffins, and smoothies. But the best part was Tanner's life-changing eggs over easy. Seriously, my life was changed after I tried them. Granted the whole house smelled like bacon grease, but whatevs. Even Meagan liked them, and she doesn't like eggs AND she doesn't eat meat (they were fried in bacon grease. Sounds gross, I know)... she practically forced them down my throat. But anyway, props to Chef Tan!
Going along with tradition, we had Meagan's classic rap mix playing, and at one point, Erin, being all matronly, was making hashbrowns. But what disturbed people so much was that, while stirring the hashbrowns and looking like a sweet mom or something, she said some of the most explicit rap lyrics ever, as if it was no biggie. haha, it was very amusing.
After attempting to play Sardines in the neighborhood, but giving up after we couldn't find Erin and Chris, we decided to try out a little thing that I call the "Dark Game." What is that, you ask? Simple. Everyone goes into a dark room with the lights out, one person is "it" and leaves the room. He/she puts on a blindfold and then comes back in and tries to find people. It doesn't sound very fun, but trust me... it is. Ask anyone. The only thing about it that's not fun when it's your turn to be it, and everyone LEAVES THE ROOM with out you knowing it. Yes, that happened to me. The greatest part was when it was Katie App512's turn to be it... she had so many things thrown at her (including pillows and a chair). Then, we all watched House of Wax. Apparently when Tanner's scared, he screams like a little girl. Good times, great times.
Pāx!
